Hello to the residents of Leziate and Ashwicken – your help would be appreciated.
There is a serious problem with parking and traffic size and speed in your village.
At a public meeting in September last year it became clear that between £15,000
and £20,000 would be needed to extend the ‘Clearway’ to roads off the B1145 to
help prevent street parking for visitors to Bawsey pits and to fund a Traffic Study.
I have committed to fund £10,000 from my Highways fund (that is all of my annual budget). But we need more and I wanted to create a means whereby residents and those who would benefit and might wish to help, can contribute to the cost of the work as the Parish Council has insufficient funds to make up the shortfall.
Therefore, I offered to don my trainers and do the 10K Great East Anglia Run (GEAR) on 1st May in King’s Lynn with all sponsorship being donated to your Parish Council and ring-fenced to be spent only on the above.
Sponsorship can be done online at the following web page:
or by sending some sort of payment to me at Heritage View, Castle Square,
Castle Acre, King’s Lynn, Norfolk PE32 2AJ or I can collect if you
give me a call.
Cheques should be made out to J Moriarty and I will then add them to
the Justgiving page along with your name and message, or just initials if you wish to remain anonymous. That way everybody can see exactly how much is raised.
My target is an additional £5,000. The current amount raised £1,405 as at 15.6.22
So, I am asking for your help in dealing with this problem but please give me a call
if you have any questions.
